Farmgirl and Kittens Circa 1977 Two things I absolutely loved about growing up in the countryside on Green Hill Farm: my grandparents…and, a never-ending supply of barn cats and stray dogs. 😉 Happy Thursday!
Double rainbow on Green Hill Farm “Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.” ~Ralph Waldo Emerson Enjoy your day!
I love to travel: experiencing different cultures, learning interesting things, and making new friends. However, after being away for awhile, I begin to look forward to spending time at home again. I long to see our sweet animals, and I miss the routine of Green Hill Farm. Amidst the busyness and stress of our daily lives, the beauty before us is sometimes overlooked. Travel offers a break—it’s fun, it’s stimulating, and it opens our minds to different perspectives. But, perhaps the loveliest thing about it is its ability to re-focus our eyes, so we may once again, see and appreciate the simple things. And, feel a deep gratitude and love for home. Have a wonderful week!
“If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things in nature have a message you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive.” ~ Eleanora Duse
What could be more fun than hanging out with cousins…and a cute piglet? Farmgirl (far left) with cousins and baby pig circa 1975

Our beloved Clementine Kitty and Dash are both rescued pets, and they have brought an immeasurable amount of love and joy into our lives. They never cease to amaze us with their intelligence, sensitivity, humorous personalities, and affection toward us as well as each other. Because of our positive experience with shelter pets, I would like to share that […]
Different Kinds of Happy “It is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all.” ~Laura Ingalls Wilder
Home Sweet Home I enjoy traveling as well as experiencing and learning new things; however, after being on vacation the last couple of weeks, it’s really nice to be home again. I always miss Green Hill Farm and all of our sweet animals when Farmguy and I are away. Coming home to this special place fills my heart with […]
