The Weekly Bleat: Virginia Artists
I love farm animals. So, you won’t be surprised to learn that I also appreciate artwork that features these sweet creatures. Over the years, I’ve collected a number of beautiful, whimsical, and funky pieces from local artists. These lovely works of art never fail to bring cheer and a smile every time I see them. I hope they’ll make you smile, too. Enjoy! 🙂

Thanks, George. I’ll share your compliment with our friend, Patty Powers. She made this piece of fiber art. Patty’s so creative! She makes art quilts and paints as well. She’s also a physician–one busy lady! I really love Sheep in a Pasture, too. I think it has nice balance and wonderful, vibrant colors. 🙂🐑

Their expressions and emotions reach many who love animals. The paintings show each artist’s love for the creatures who are depicted, Tonya. I enjoyed your pastoral art collection very much! 🎆😊

Of course, happy to have been less busy and able to reply in a timely fashion, Tonya. I know I mention the baby lambs in my first babysitter’s farmhouse kitchen. . . We were allowed to feed them milk in bottles in her kitchen. I’ll never forget looking into the lamb’s sweet, trusting soft woolly faces. These are not baby lamb emojis but are still cute. . . 😊🐏 🐑

Thank you for reading this and replying, Tonya.
I was lucky to have experienced this, along with hanging on a rope and jumping into a creek, playing hide n’ seek in the summer and rolling around with kitties in the hay mown. 😊

I was blessed with both worlds, country and city blended together. Then, my Dad had friends from diverse backgrounds at his work, while Mom made friends with a wide variety of H.S. students. Smiles, Robin 💐 🐦
