Whenever Farmguy and I visit the Cotswolds, we always make a point of spending the day at Sudeley Castle near Winchcombe in Gloucestershire, England. The present structure was built in the 15th century and has nine individual gardens. These lovely and historical gardens are associated with four of England’s queens—Anne Boleyn, Katherine Parr, Lady Jane Grey, and Elizabeth I. […]

We decided to include a walking tour of Montmartre, or the “neighborhood on the hill,” which is in the 18th Arrondissement. Our first stop was […]
Happy New Year! Wishing you a healthy and happy 2017!! One of our favorite places for New Year’s Eve is the Hogmanay Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. I hope you enjoy this video, courtesy of Farmguy. As a child of the 80’s, I grew up listening to Madonna and Cyndi Lauper as well as other artists; however, in eighth grade, I was probably more of a Cyndi Lauper fan. Much to my mother’s chagrin, I occasionally sneaked out of the house wearing iridescent pink and green eyeshadows applied in a…
Warm wishes for a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Farmguy and I recently visited Paris, and on our first full day there, we received a fun and informative introduction to this fabulous place. We met up with our guide, a delightful, English-speaking gal whom we discovered through Viator.com, Paris Food Walking Tour/ Meeting […]

Farmguy and I are in Tuscany and having a lovely time. So far, we’ve had a wonderful experience sightseeing, learning about the art and history of Florence, visiting museums, wine tasting, and just soaking up the beautiful sun and scenery. From the Ponte Vecchio to baked pears in Barolo as well as Michelangelo’s David to Dolce & Gabbana, it’s truly been a treat. So much of our enjoyment during this visit is due to our good fortune in learning about a fantastic tour company called, Sunny Tuscany. These private tour guides certainly have made our time here memorable. Many thanks to Amy, Monika, and Riccardo for their helpfulness, warmth, and attention to detail. Here are a few photos from our time in Florence. I hope you enjoy! More pictures and adventures to come. 🙂
