September
In my opinion, September is the loveliest time of the year. Typically filled with clear, temperate, blue-sky days, September’s gentle sun and warm breezes create the perfect opportunity for long walks, reading a book in the garden, or just tinkering about on the farm.
So, to celebrate this stunning month, here’s a little poetry and my all-time favorite song from the wonderful and uplifting artists, Earth, Wind, and Fire. Β Enjoy!!
“Do you remember the 21st night of September?
Love was changing the minds of pretenders
While chasing the clouds away
Our hearts were ringing
In the key that our souls were singing.
As we danced in the night,
Remember how the stars stole the night away.”
~September, Lyrics by Maurice White, Charles Stemney, and Verdine White

The meadow is so pretty with the tree covered hills in the background. It is nice to hear it is cooler somewhere. We are having a heat wave here. π

Thank you, Deborah. I love that view, too! It’s starting to cool down a bit. It’s actually raining today. We really needed the moisture as it hasn’t rained here in over a month. I hope you have more temperate weather soon! π

September is a great month, especially at the beach…and that song is infectious…:)

I love the beach in late summer–not too hot and fewer people. And, I agree wholeheartedly about the song. π

The lyrics and photos are making me feel better about this September. No rains. Farmer suicides. Weird weather. Yup! Thank you for making me smile about September!
