“The Weekly Bleat: Tea Time”
“Tea Time”
Traditionally an opportunity to
Enjoy a cup of tea
Accompanied by dainty sandwiches and
Tea cakes,
Involving the use of good
Manners and proper
Etiquette.

Tea time isn’t a tradition where I live but sounds fun !

It’s not really a tradition where I live, either. However, any quiet moment I manage to have with a cup of tea and cookie is tea time to me. Thanks for visiting and following my blog! 🙂

Thanks so much, Edwina! You’re very lucky. I always so enjoy the ceremony of tea when we visit England. I especially love a cup of tea accompanied by a slice of Victoria Sponge–heavenly! 🙂

Oh yes. I love a bit of Victoria sponge too, or maybe a scone with some clotted cream. Yum!

Oh, that really does sound good! It’s definitely hard to beat a scone with clotted cream. That’s actually one of the main reasons I look forward to visiting England. 😉

I remember when I was growing up how he older ladies in the neighborhood would get together once or twice a week for a tea. I always thought that was a cool tradition that somehow managed to try to die off. Have you been to the tea rooms in the UK? I ad a great time there visiting them. I was in Betty’s in York, England for a late afternoon tea. Had a wonderful conversation with two ladies there.

I think getting together for tea weekly sounds lovely. What a wonderful tradition. I have visited a few tea rooms in England, and I loved the experience. I’ve never been to York, but we’ve visited friends in Yorkshire. England is such a beautiful country!

My youngest daughter gets together with a couple of her girl friends and do tea every once in a while. I bought her a real nice porcelain tea set so they could do it proper. she keeps eyeballing the two tier cake stand in my hutch. I’ll know where it disappeared to if it ever comes up missing.

That was really nice of you. Of course, the cake stand would make a nice addition to her tea set. Maybe you could get her one of her own for an upcoming occasion. 🙂
