The Weekly Bleat: A Grateful Heart and a Happy Spirit
It was such a beautiful day today on Green Hill Farm—blue skies and 60 something degree temperatures. I took every opportunity to be outdoors, spending extra time in the garden while Dash and Bizou ran around and played. And, I even decided to give the sheep and chickens extra treats…just so I could spend time with them on this blissfully warm day. As I gathered grain and scratch, I was reminded how it’s really the simple things that mean so much. 🙂

Beautiful day indeed! We had one here, but alas, I saw no farm animals til I got to your post! Thanks for sharing!

Gorgeous day indeed to be out and about! I spotted in one of your photos, a sheep half of its torso in between your fence(?) Are my eyes playing tricks or how did that poor fella get into this dilemma?🤔

I see the photo in which you’re referring. It’s just the way it looks. That’s Ivy rubbing her butt on the fence. She’s leaning back into the fence, and the shadows are obscuring part of the wire, making it looks as if her torso is in half. She’s okay, but thank you for your concern, Garfield! 😉💛🐏

Phew!! It is quaint that you know each animal by name! I am glad Ivy is fine. Now that is an art of photography…illusion photography👍😃Happy Friday Farmgirl💕💕😊

I would’ve completely panicked if I thought Ivy was stuck in the fence.
That’s so nice! Thank you, Catterel. 🙂🐏

What a beautiful day and a day well spent. Your sentiment is the truest of all …. if we allow ourselves the delight of contenting in the simplest of things there is nothing else needed. Have a wonderful day today – I hope the sun shines warmly again (though I guess we need the shivering cold and gloom to really appreciate the sunshine) ❤️

Thank you, Osyth. It’s true. It’s difficult to appreciate the sun without the cold. 😊 But, these past few warm days have been lovely. I hope you’re enjoying sunny days as well. Here’s to the simple things in life! ❤️

We had sunshine now we have a few days of dreer whilst the snow ices the mountains in a shroud of cloud. The rough with the smooth but when that could lifts my heart will too …. 🙂
