The Weekly Bleat: Green Hill Farm

One of the greatest joys of Green Hill Farm is observing and interacting with the animals who live here. There’s nothing I love more than sitting on the porch in the evenings and watching the chickens running around chasing bugs or the sheep grazing in the pasture.  It’s simply the most satisfying and peaceful feeling.

Here are a few pictures of our chickens, sheep, and Churchill kitty (barn cat).

  1. Always nice to see your “family” – been meaning to ask- are you running a hobby farm of sorts or do you farm for self sustainability? It seems really fun but I guess it is also hard work☺

  2. Beautiful green grass stretching out to meet the lovely sky, Tonya.
Your photos are like slices of lemon meringue pie. Yummy and tangy, sweet!
The cat really amused me, all the antics, prowling and then cuddling with your husband. 💕
The chickens are so glorious in all their colorful splendour!
The sheep seem to have feelings they wish to express but are dumbfounded! 🙂 🙂

    • What a lovely and colorful compliment, Robin! Thank you so much. 😊 I’m delighted you enjoy my photos. I really love those lazy evenings when time doesn’t matter, and I can meander around the farm with the animals. They really do have their own little personalities. Churchill Kitty is a hoot, and the sheep are so curious about him. And, of course the chickens steal the show with their whimsical antics! 🙂

P.S. Not sure how dumbfounded Hamish our sheep is…he’s probably just figuring out how to baaah louder for more grain. 😉💛
