The Weekly Bleat

Life can be challenging sometimes, but I’m always grateful for each year on this earth.  Since I’m celebrating a birthday tomorrow, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite quotes about attitude, youth, joy, and the sweetness of life.

Black and white photo: Florence, Italy–circa 1993–college semester abroad; Color photo:  Florence, Italy–circa 2016–visiting Tuscany with Farmguy.

“Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.  Look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.  Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best.  Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.  Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.  Live in the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you!”

~Christian D. Larson

“Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall.”

~Philosopher Confucius

“Never underestimate the power of frosting.”

“Youth has no age.”

  1. Happy Birthday! Italy looks good on you. As do the scarf and the glasses and the scenery, and well, you and Italy are quite pretty. I do not recommend wearing the cupcakes 😉
    Have a fabulous day! ❤

BTW…I couldn’t tell the difference between the college photo and the one taken 23 years later. You sure you’re not messing with us?😊
