“You are the books you read, the films you watch, the music you listen to, the people you meet, the dreams you have, the conversations you engage in. You are what you take from these. You are the sound of the ocean, the breath of fresh air, the brightest light and the darkest corner. You are a collective of every experience you have had in your life. So drown yourself in a sea of knowledge and existence. Let the words run through your veins and let the colours fill your mind.”

That certainly is a greAt quote.: That 1918 letter is wonderful.

The quote reminded me why it’s so important to surround ourselves with positive experiences that radiate light into our lives.
I’m thankful and happy to have the 1918 letter written in my great-grandmother Crumpaker’s hand. It’s very special to me. Thank you, Chris.

Wonderful words of wisdom Tonya!! We are about to start our crazy busy season and I’m sometimes find myself stuck in a rut. I need to print this off and read it every morning.

I’m glad you enjoyed the post, Melody. I think we all feel “stuck in a rut” sometimes. I think the best thing is to remember that we’re NOT! 😊 Take care and good luck with the school year! xo

Really lovely, as usual. I find meditation in that quote — the images and feelings that wash past me before the calm. I shall let the colors fill my mind. ❤

Fantastic. We are what we read, I am reading Brilliant Green by two Italian scientists: Mancuso and Viola about plant intelligence. It will change the way you view everything.

How interesting! I’ve also read about plant studies that indicated feeling, communication, and intelligence. Your book sounds like a wonderful read. What’s the title?

I have very eclectic taste, from murder mysteries to sci fi, drama, and action. My favorite poet was Poe, especially during the dark years after the diagnosis of his wife with tuberculosis. I like the old horror movies (Lugosi, Price) when the people in the audience would scream.

I think you’re fine! I enjoy most of those genres too. I guess if there is an issue, then we can both go down together! 😉
Btw: Have you ever watched Foyle’s War? It’s a British drama/murder mystery television series set during WWII. It’s excellent.

No, I haven’t. I was following a BBC presentation of new Holmes stories, but it fell off of the local BBC channel.
