Tuesday Tunes
I think we can all agree that music has the power to inspire, uplift, entertain, motivate, and move us. I know it certainly does for me. For those folks who are familiar with this blog, you may recall that I’ve shared posts regarding my love for music and dancing. In my experience, music is like therapy, transforming my mood and motivating me at challenging times. Not only does music soothe or entertain us, but hopefully, it enriches us as well. With this in mind, I’ve decided to add a music post as part of my weekly contribution to this blog. I enjoy all kinds of music, so you never know what you may find here.
This musical selection is my first endeavor for Tuesday Tunes. It’s from Act II of Puccini’s opera La Bohème, “Quando Me’n Vo’” or “Musetta’s Waltz.” I hope you enjoy this beautiful and moving soprano aria by Anna Netrebko.

I understand what you mean. I listen to music as I drive or work in the shop, it really does have a calming effect, no matter what the music is.
As far as posting, be careful, many have been sued for posting music. The music industry is very aggressive in going after people.

No problem. I just don’t want you to get hit.
When my daughter was in Girl Scouts we were on a campout and, as usual, started singing campfire songs. Someone brought a song sheet with a modern gathering song. Someone in the group was a performer and reported us to the AFM union, we received a “cease and desist” order under threat of legal action.
They were Girls Scouts at a campfire, not performing in front of an audience!

Beautiful, as is your photo of the Queen Anne’s Lace. Reminds me of childhood. We used to pick it and put it in a jar of water and food coloring and watch the color of the Queen Anne’s Lace transform. 😊

Thanks, and I love Queen Anne’s lace. Did you know its’s an herbal birth control?

We have Queen Anne’s Lace growing all over our farm. I didn’t know about its herbal usage. That’s interesting! My mom used to tell me not to pick it, because a little bug called a chigger lived on it and may make me itch. 😉

If you never met a chigger, you are lucky. They embed, suck blood, and itch like mad.

You’re exactly right! Farmguy has had them a couple of times. Not fun at all–the itching is awful! We’ve applied clear fingernail polish to the site in order to get rid of them. I guess it suffocates the chigger.

I love listening to opera really loudly when no-one else is home to whine about it 😉

It’s best when it’s loud…and, there’s no whining. 😉

I listen to opera with my headphones on! (Unless nobody is around, like now. Just beautiful, thanks!)

For me, loud musice while driving soothes the soul, unless there are too many cars around and then its a nice quiet ride.
