Farm eggs are fresher and better… wish I could get them more often here.

Hi Momma! Thanks for commenting. We haven’t had our own fresh eggs since a fox got into my aviary last fall. I’m really looking forward to when my new hens start laying in October. 🙂

Those eggs! And as A Momma’s View said, I really wish I could get them more often. I think I have had them just once!

The difference in fresh farm eggs is amazing! I couldn’t believe how bright orange the yolk was the first time I had one. And, the taste, significantly more flavorful.

I was not an egg fan until I had a farm fresh egg…now I love them! By the way that’s a lot of eggs …how many chickens do you have?

I used to have 20 heirloom hens a few years ago. I sold eggs to Local Roots Restaurant for a while, and The Inn on Campbell B &B also bought them. However, we lost our flock ( 14 hens) last fall to a fox. I just got nine chicks in March; however, I’m concerned that I may have a couple of roosters in the mix. Time will tell. 🙂
