Artwork by Donna Whitmore Tuten

It is my pleasure to share the lovely artwork of a good friend and talented artist, Donna Whitmore Tuten.  The first group of paintings features the beloved animals of Green Hill Farm–past and present, and the second group is a small sampling of Donna’s work.  I hope you enjoy it.

“I enjoy creating works of art that capture the beauty in our world, remind us of the love we share, or invoke happy memories of special places and great times.”       Donna Tuten

A native of Richmond, Virginia, artist Donna Tuten now resides and paints in Roanoke.  After raising her family and moving to the beautiful Roanoke Valley, Donna began to explore her long held passion for art.  She immediately stood out in early classes.  Her emerging style became about a subtle weaving of color and light.  The creations offer expressions of timeless imagery, yet with a refreshingly new curiosity.  Her painting is more than visual narrative;  Donna saturates our senses with her generous affection for finding the simple beauty in the world around us.

Collectors are taking notice.  With a string of art awards to her credit already and representation in several established galleries, Donna Tuten’s graceful style is enhancing many homes and businesses throughout Virginia and beyond.

Donna is the proud mother of two grown children and an avid scuba diver, nature lover, traveler, and explorer.
